The Industry pipeline is an example of the job roles an idea has to pass through before you can sit at home and have that controller in your hands. We was asked what sort of role we would want and why.
I put off this blog task for so long that I actually completely forgot about it, luckily I found out soon enough, so no worry's. The reason I put it straight to the back of my memory is because I still don't really know what type of job I would ultimately want in the industry yet, I'd be happy with doing anything so far.
If I had to make a decision I would definitely aim towards environment structure and how a level will be played through, creating routes and hidden paths. I find all of that a great deal more exciting than designing how a character is going to look only to be able to see the back of his head for 72% of the entire game.
A real goal of mine is to be able to input some Easter eggs of my own into a level and never tell anyone so that it's super cool when I show it to whoever owns the game.
I also wouldn't mind having to work with blocking out already generated content, I've always found being able to add my own input to an already realised design is much easier and more fun.
